NEW OPTION when ordering from our website. You will be given the choice of 'Course' Type Pins or 'Fine' Type Pins. While both type of pins will get you the razor sharp results that you are looking for, we do recommend particular pins if you have a main sharpening need.

Our 'Course' Type Pins are the original Block Sharpener pins. These pins are a special heat treated pin. We recommend using the original pins if you are mainly going to focus your attention on pocket knives, garden tools, machetes, hatchet heads, wood chisels, lawn mower blades, pruners, hedge clippers, and scraping blades...

Our 'Fine' Type Pins were perfected in 2005 for our Dixie's Finest Block Sharpener. These pins are made of a butcher steel and have a finer edge. We recommend the Dixie's Finest pins if you will mainly be sharpening collectable knives, kitchen knives, filet knives and harder steels....
